I got started in genealogy when a Great Aunt - that I never met - had a professional search done on her family. This was back in the late 1970's.

I worked with my mother-in-law on her's. She was doing it for health reasons. She wanted a record of health issues within the family as she had breast cancer and wanted future generations to know about possible health concerns.

I became the family historian, responsible for both my side (Taylor) and my husband's side (Vasatka). I love visiting cemeteries, as I find them peaceful and relaxing.

I regularly visit Lakewood, St, Mary's and Ft. Snelling - all in Minneapolis and a few others, All Saint's in Lakeville and Crystal Lake, also in Minneapolis. I am happy to take pictures at any of these cemeteries.

I don't own a lot of these graves, but I do like to keep them up to date and more than just a picture of the cemetery, if I can.
