Having descended from both paternal and maternal lines of colonial pioneers, proudly a cousin of the Roosevelts (all three) on the northern side, and the Hartleys, Loves, Lynch clans on the southern side, and having been inspired by oral history from my great grandmother and her sister of the Hartley-Love clans, and the efforts of my own father, an American responsible for spearheading social medicine in Canada, I set out to preserve some history to tell a compelling story for my family and to assist future generations in discovering theirs, and to prevent those heroes and villains of the past, from being forever forgotten.
