My name is Jennifer and I've been working on my genealogy since I was 16 years old. It has long been a passion of mine, though I don't have much time to work on it these days. I love this site because I have found a number of pictures of my ancestors/relatives graves that I never would have been able to obtain on my own. I'm trying now to do look-ups for people as I have time...it's nice to be able to give back.
Mohnike photo requests. Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo requests and just wanted you to know that they are buried next to Eva T., Louis A., and Henry Carl Mohnike. Eva was the only one who already had a memorial. I created memorials for the other two. I hope it helps with your research.
RE: Elizabeth Staley Brown Thank you for the information. Elizabeth Staley Brown is also my husband's 4th grandma. My husband, Stan Marshall, is from Jackson County, Ks. His parents, Laurence Marshall, deceased & Victoria Ann Rezac, still living, Jackson County, Ks. Laurence Marshall was born to Jessie Magers & Robert Marshall, Jackson County, Ks. Jessie Magers was born to Isaac Magers & Luciena Daugherty. Isaac Magers was Eliza Whitesides & Riley Magers son. I think that I wrote that correctly. Anyway, thank you for clearing up the last names. I have just started with geneology and I am excited to put this family tree together.
Elizabeth Staley Brown Do you have any information on Elizabeth's husband? I have found a Archiebald Brown connected to her. I cannot seem to connect a "Staley" with her. Also, her daughter, Elizabeth "Eliza" is listed with a maiden name of "Whitesides." I have not been able to find any information about Eliza's father. I would appreciate any information on these ancestors. Thanks.
Sybil Murphy #76980159 Correction. After further research, I believe Sybil Murphy is indeed Isabelle's sister and Thomas's birthdate was listed incorrectly as 1823 when it should have been 1828. Apologies.
Sybil Murphy #76980159 I am also a descendant of Isabella Mapps Powell - she was my fourth great grandmother. I do not believe Sybil Murphy #76980159 was her sister. Mrs. Murphy's birth date of Sep. 20, 1823 is not compatible with Thomas Mapps' #6447644 birth date of Dec. 27, 1823. I think it is more likely that Sybbyl Null #69357477 is Isabella's sister. (See https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X8VH-CR6) Please let me know if you know something I don't.
RE: Thanks My pleasure! Sorry I didn't get this posted sooner...I had taken the photo in April, and realized I had added most of the photos I had taken to the appropriate find-a-grave memorials online, but had overlooked this one.
I am a distant relative to the Pantiers...my great-great grandmother was Mary Ellen Pickering. She married Lewis Purcell, and I am a descendant of this marriage. Lewis Purcell died at an early age, and Mary Ellen Pickering re-married, David Pantier being her second husband. David Pantier's brother was Henry Levi Pantier. I hope to get back to Gallatin County sometime within the next year (hopefully sooner than that) and take some more photos of graves. Next time I'll be better prepared and bring a list of photo requests with me.
I'd love to hear back from you and learn if you're related to the Pantiers, and if so, how. Take care!
