A few years back, after several family deaths, I became the oldest member of my family at the age of 50. When I went through the mountains of photographs, I had several boxes of picture of people I didn't recognize. Pictures from the past of people who were part of what makes me who I am...my heritage. I decided that I would create a family scrapbook to include pictures and stories of my family so I could guarantee that, at least the people I know, won't end up in a shoe box in later years...names forgotten and missing from the family tree. This quest led me to ancestry research and I was addicted. I searched all records I could find, built a family tree and discovered some family secrets. It was very exciting. Then I discovered cemeteries. Now, I cannot drive past any cemetery without thinking,"I need to walk through there to see what questions it wants to answer.". |
I live in Kentucky. My family tree includes HORD, KIMREY, DALRYMPLE, MCBRIDE, IRVINE, WHITE, KING, UNDERWOOD. My husbands family include STEVENSON, GRIFFIN, CARTER, CUNNINGHAM, GRIFFIN, KOON, JONES & MORRIS
I love being able to help others build their family story with headstone photos. I prefer searching the small country cemeteries, but not during the summer...I love cemeteries, but I dont like snakes!

|Brandy Wells Murray||RE: Stewarts|
Linn B. Stewart 1858-1934 married Martha Koon. He is the son of John W. Stewart 1827-1905 and Harriet Elizabeth Stewart Stewart 1825-1913.
Nelson Stewart is the son of Dabney Wiley Stewart 1846-1905 and Helen Hiller Stewart 1848-1905.
Harriet & Dabney are siblings. Children of Harrison & Mary Elizabeth Goode Stewart.
Hope that helps!
Are you saying these Hord's are buried in the Hord-Jenkins Cemetery?
There is no listing for Hord-Jenkins Cemetery for Christian County.
Do I need to make a listing and Move the Hord's to that cemetery?
Thanks for your help, ICD

His relative cleaned the graffiti off the monument and a new photo has been posted.
Can you please remove the graffiti photo from his memorial?

I went and added her death certificate, I found her on a site I found several years ago Called Kentucky Vital Records Project it has mostly info in the 1800's with deaths list up to about 1925 you can obtain the death certificates, I am not sure how I found this site, since I bookmarked for a quick find
I believe someone else put me on it, I am not very good with a computer you might be able to search it out wish I could help you more. I ran her on ancestry but it did not have much on her. Patricia
