Bio
I always knew my Grandparents were born in Los Angeles. It was not until I saw my Great Grandparents' names in an 1888 Los Angeles Directory that I realized there were so many documents that could be found about them.
So in 1975 my parents and I began contacting all the relatives and collecting all the data and pictures we could find. My father and grandfather were photo enthusiasts so if we found a photo that someone did not want to part with my father took a picture of it.
I am on findagrave because I want to document my family's part in the development of Los Angeles. In addition there are three Hetz families in CA, and I want to document mine.
Using LDS German Church Records I have traced my Cochems line to 1614, my Zenz line to 1704, my Hetz line to 1788 and my Kemmerle line to 1632.
I want to thank my parents for their untiring help in this project and for the photo albums they put together when they were young. I could not have collected all this material without them.
