I am currently 83 years old and have learned much too late in life to track my family history. Both of my Grand Fathers had passed away before I was born and my father passed away when I was 22 years old. I did not have the opportunity to discuss earlier generations with the men in my family.

My daughter and I are now trying to piece together our family history. She is doing an outstanding job of getting the pieces put together. She has recently received her DAR membership from the Carey side of our family. Fortunately we do have a book for the Carey side of our family that goes back hundreds of years. We have very little to go on for the Treat side of the family and are currently gathering that information now.

We are researching the Miller, Sholly, Reish, Treat, Carey, Wells, Cole, and Burleigh history now.

I am active in helping anyone gather information on their families that may be interned in the Wyoming County area of Pennsylvania. I continue to photograph headstones and post them on the Find A Grave Web Site.
