I have done genealogy for many years. There is always something new to find or someone to discover. So many people have helped me along the way and this is a little way to help pay it back. Sometimes a picture of the tombstone is the only photo someone has of the person.. Am happy to help all I can...

Hi Vauna,

Not sure which edits your talking about. I'll explain what's happening. On the 15th and morning of the 16th, I went to Grove City cemetery, where I have well over 70 relations buried. And since I haven't located a grave cite directory, I photographed all the graves.

Upon returning to Crystal Lake, I started reviewing each of the photos and comparing them to my tree. While doing this, I am also making, what I consider to be obvious correction to the memorials that I review. Some I check against available databases if the suggested corrections or additions are not on the stones.

I stated at the west end and on the south side of the lane of the cemetery, and worked east. Since I started, I think I've added ten new grave sites, some twenty to thirty photo's and suggested almost 200 corrections.

There are two primary families that I follow that resided in Christian and Macon counties. They are: Igou and McKenzie (McKinzie). Since both families got there in the 1840's, they had ample opportunity to propagate and marry into larger families.

It is my intention to return to Grove City and do more work once I gone through all my photos. I know there are several sites that I was unable to record because the stones are damaged or other wise missing. Would you be aware of where I would be able to attain a map of the cemetery; one which shows the graves & family plots?

As for transferring memorials, I would only be interested in those who are tied to my family. I am over half way through the photos. When I come to any more of your records I will note if they are ones that I would manage. Also, I will go back over the the others I have already reviewed and let you know of my interest.

Thanks for asking, and if you see that I made an error, please let me know that too.

Edith Huggins
Dear Vauna,

It seems odd that there are 2 Edith Huggins in same cemetery with close birth & death dates. Are you able to verify your Edith and find out more information pertaining to actual dates and parentage. The person I think she may be is: Mary Edith (Abell) Huggins; Find A Grave Memorial# 98136151, who is also buried in the same cemetery.

The conundrum arises from the dates on Edith's headstone and the other Edith's information from the Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths Index, 1916-1947.

My suspicion is that they're the same person, and that the person carving the headstone was either careless or given the wrong information.

Thank You in advance for your help.
