I am in search of family history and knowing what of the backgrounds for family members. This all started at my having grandchildren and wanting them to have as much information on their family and where their ancestors hailed from. I believe heritage is important. When I enter cemeteries to take photos of stones, I know there is a real person in there, whether or not they are still breathing. They were born, lived and passed on. What went on in their era, their lives in between those dates recorded on their stones. I know I once read a quip about how we spend our dashes (the dash between birthdate and death date). It's an important matter and I want to make the most of my dash!
I am interested in helping others with their research and photo requests as well. It is the preservation of life and memories and somehow helps us feel connected to those relatives and Grandparents we never got to meet. I love bringing that to life!

Eby obit
I thought that Henry Eby was your GG Grandfather, and you would want his grave? Do you still need his full obit? Did you get the obit on Bessie?

Kathleen:

I'm pretty sure you'd mentioned the stones were rather worn, but you did identify the one I was interested in. Thanks.

Kathleen:

Thanks much for the photo. I'm assuming there was no birth/death date or name on the stones? At any rate, I appreciate it. Again, thank you.

RE: Helen Townsend
I think that the ground near her husband's grave was freshly disturbed when I posted my note a year and a half ago. Since then the grass has probably had a good chance to hide the signs of a recent burial. I do not know where her grave is specifically. I had assumed that it was next to her husbands (from the evidence of the freshly processed grave). Here is the link for the offices for the Riverside cemetery. A quick phone call or email should get you the exact location of her grave. Good Luck.

Is this straightened out now? I am trying to clear up emails before I go south for the winter. Thanks. Mary
