|I am on a journey for family history and knowing where it is that I and my family members are from. This all started as a project to pass information to my grandchildren and wanting them to know of their family members that passed on before they were born and never got to meet and to know where their ancestors hailed from. I believe heritage is important. |
When I enter cemeteries to take photos of stones, I know there is a real person in there, whether or not they are still breathing. They were born, lived and passed on, leaving some sort of legacy, good or bad, they had a life and family too.
To hopefully learn something of what went on in their era, their lives in between those dates recorded on their stones. I know I once read a quip about how we spend our dashes (the dash between birthdate and death date). It's an important matter and I want to make the most of my dash!
I am interested in helping others with their research and photo requests as well. It is the preservation of life and memories and somehow helps us feel connected to those relatives and Grandparents we never got to meet. I love bringing that to life!
I am willing to transfer any memorials I have added that are not related to me. I feel memorials are best with their family members as there is a sentimental value to keeping their information and photos and links with those who share their tree.

I have a similar situation with a gg grandfather which we were able to visit a while back. We are over 2 hours away from Brick Cemetery. Brick was a cemetery we planned into a trip we took.

I see you have left flowers on Gladys' memorial. Curious if you are you related to Gladys?
No, I'm not related. I put flowers on each memorial that I create - just b/c I think everyone should have flowers or some other symbol of remembrance.

I did not know Merritt. My wife and I photograph cemeteries trying to help document Find A Grave. I noticed very few memorials had flowers left for them so I left flowers for all the interments in Brick cemetery.

Hi. You're welcome. She doesn't appear to be at Rose Hills under that name. If she remarried she could be at Rose Hills under that name. I don't know any resources. Sorry

Lila Lee Barton Hollabaugh, are you a direct descendant? I'm looking to share something I've found with a direct descendant. Could you help with this? LizaJean
