I have been on a fabulous journey for family history and knowing where it is that I and my family members hail from, hence where I originated. And to share that with my offspring and down the line to their offspring and so on. What was a project/hobby, is now an obsession and enjoyment.

I believe heritage is important and knowing where we hail from. Those that lived and worked this land before us, laying a path for us to walk down, they were born, lived and passed on, leaving some sort of legacy, good or bad, they had a life and family too.

Hoping to learn something of what went on in their era, their lives in between those dates recorded on their stones. I once read a quip about how we spend our dashes (the dash between birthdate and death date). It's an important matter and I want to make the most of my dash!

I am interested in helping others with their research and photo requests as well. It is the preservation of life and memories and somehow helps us feel connected to those relatives and Grandparents we never got to meet. I love bringing that to life!

I am willing to transfer any memorials I have added that are not related to me. I feel memorials are best with their family members as there is a value to keeping their information and photos and links with those who share their tree.

No worries Kathleen! The pleasure was all mine. I'm glad I can help you and others. If you would like to add the photos to the other people listed on the stone who do not have it already, feel free. Happy New Year!

I will send the pictures from the email I have listed on my find a grave profile. I took enough pictures that it will take 2 emails to send them all. With that said, it may go to your spam folder.

Hello Kathleen
No I am not related. MT Salem Cemetery is just my fav cemetery and I attempt to have everyone listed. I actually need to do for this year!
Actually, when I set out to recensus Mt Salem it was to prove it is a "family" cemetery' So I will say that one way or another everyone there are related (smile)

We are planning a trip tomorrow (9/5) that will take us past Brick Cemetery. Is there any info or pictures you would like us to take while we are there?

RE: Merritt Tyler
I have a similar situation with a gg grandfather which we were able to visit a while back. We are over 2 hours away from Brick Cemetery. Brick was a cemetery we planned into a trip we took.
