Bio

Major US ARMY Retired
Sgt US Air Force Vietnam
Capt US ARMY Desert Storm

I now live in the Blowing Rock area of North Carolina, but was raised in the Horry County, SC area then known as Simpson Creek. I am attempting to visit the Horry Co, SC and Columbus, Brunswick, NC area cemeteries to take photos to help find some missing relatives, and to help others find burial locations. I also did some work in the York, SC area when I would go to visit my Mother in the Assisted Living Home in York before she passed in 2013.
I take and post these photographs in order to create a permanent record of each persons final resting place. At each gravesite, I attempt to take a close up, a full size, and a family group if in that setting, and attempt to show with one of these the relative area in the cemetery that the grave is located if possible. Please do not be offended if I post a close up or group on a page where you already have a stone photo displayed. I am only attempting to preserve history for the future. At the rate many stones are becoming unreadable or broken, these records may be the only record we have. If an immediate family member would like to replace these photos with personal ones, just click on the edit button and ask me to remove mine.
Please do not post duplicate photos unless yours is tremendously better than the one already posted.
I do not post obits in the comments as that is against FAG policy. Please don't ask.
