Diana...please contact me. This is your cousin Mickey. My brother Johnny told me about this. I know it's been almost 14 ears since I spoke with your mom. I would love to be in contact.

Nancy (Burchett) Garrett
Diana;

The Death Certificate for Nancy was obviously wrong due to an error by the Undertaker in my Opinion.Of course it could have been a last minute decision by the family to bury her where she is as I have saw that happen before.There is at least one other conflicting record Online from the former funeral home in the area that states she was buried in Ringo Point Cem as was her husband which is verified by their tombstone there.Her parents and some of her Siblings are listed as being buried in the Ringo Point Cem which is several miles Southeast of Green Castle as well.Whether they still have markers or not,I don't know considering some of them died and were buried before 1900.
As for the reason the Memorial was removed from the Green Castle Cem a marker was not found for Nancy there,nor is she listed in their Records.

Levi Rock Smith
I know that Levi Rock Smith is his name as he is my Great Grandmothers brother. Actually Rock was his nickname he went by since his grandfathers name was also Levi Smith.

Levi 'Rock' Smith
Hi Diana,
Thanks for bringing this duplicate to my attention. Sadly you can't combine them but the ladder memorial should be removed. I have asked that they do so. I have also added the marriage info that was added in the ladder bio of the second memorial to the memorial that I set up for Levi Rock Smith and giving her credit for the information.
We will see how this goes.

Kathrine B Grover
I am not sure who your Katherine Grover is, but this one is the one she is stated to be. No I do not have a death certificate, however I do have numerous records showing Katherine B Grover, 1889, was born to Edward J Grover and Emma Margaret Fischer. She was the second child, Myrtle M being the first, 1887 and she is buried in Stillman Valley Cemetery as Myrtle M Grover Reid. Kathrine was then followed by Edward E, 1892, Earl Fischer, 1895, Roy Alanson, 1897 and Mabel C, 1900 married Johnson. Katherine is on census records in Ogle County from 1900 through 1930 with her parents and siblings and in 1940 same place alone as her parents Edward and Emma Margaret had died by 1940.

I have no doubt about this memorial being my Katherine. When I visited the cemetery, the family were all buried together. You check the census records for Ogle County in 1920 and you will see Katherine Grover unmarried still at home with her parents Ed and Emma and two younger siblings, Roy and Mabel. She certainly doesn't have a child and still shows to be single in 1940.

Regards,
Rita

RE: Selleck Longwell
Your very welcome, glad to be of help. Are you referring to John Selleck Longwell 1811-1867 as your line? The only spouse I have for him is Charity Jurey. Is this incorrect?

Selleck and Nancy's daughter Nancy married into my Johnson line. Her spouse Gilbert is a great grand uncle of mine.
