I have been doing my own Genealogy for 30+ years.
I finally started the DNA thing and that has fostered a long dormant interest in archeology and anthropology. Having a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and being interested in folk arts techniques is a very strong parallel with Genealogy. One of the items on my "Bucket List" is to be part of a archeological Dig. My father had a simular interest and ammassed a significant indian artifact collection (all found rolling in front a the farmer's plow).
