Living in Rhode Island, one of the original thirteen colonies, I'm surprised at the way people died at the beginning of this nation. One of the most horrifying I've seen is a little boy who was "scaulded to death" when he fell into a large cauldron in which his mother was making soap.

Another shocker was the grave of a man surrounded by his five wives, four of whom died in childbirth.

I hope that someday, I'll be able to contribute to photo requests for certain cemeteries in Rhode Island.

** Edit: since I wrote this, my father Zacharias P. Rouvelas died. A very kind person created a memorial for him. Another kind person created one for his parents, my grandparents, both of whom died relatively young. I was shocked to see them all listed. Shocked and very grateful. xox
