I am retired and living in Dallas, TX. I have spent many years researching and compiling my family tree on ancestry.com. In 2009 I started annual trips to locations where my ancestors lived, searching for historical information and scouring cemeteries in the area for their headstones. Fortunately for me, they stayed in a relatively small area - Chester county Pa and surrounding Maryland, southwestern Pennsylvania(Blair, Somerset and Bedford counties), southeastern Ohio(Guernsey County and adjoining areas), Canton, Ohio and Carrollton, Ohio. While I search cemeteries for specific ancestors, I also take pictures of headstones that may belong to more distant relatives and as time permits I add them to my ancestry tree (DianneRhodesJan2008). I generally do not add these to find-a-grave but upon request will search through my photos to see if I have one matching the request.
