Bio

Hello everyone.
My name is Rémy. I was born in 1985 in France and I live in Belgium since 2006.
My interest in WWII started when I was a child with the book "L'Histoire en 1000 images : la Guerre 1939 - 1945" but it was in 2009 at the Henri-Chapelle Military Cemetery with the grave of PFC Walter F. French (330th IR, KIA 7 Jan. 45) that my passion for the 83rd Infantry Division was born.
I discovered a few years later that 83rd ID have liberated and evacuated Stalag XIA at Altengrabow where one of my great grandfathers, Marcel Langlin, was prisoner of war.
For several years I've been collecting by donations and purchases, souvenirs, photos, letters,... of veterans of the 83ID. My objective is to preserve this heritage and to retrace the history of their owner. Through this page, I would like to share it with you to pay tribute to them and keep their memory alive.
To our American veteran friends and their families: thank you! I hope the next generations will never forget.
