My main goal is not to create a lot of new memorials but to correct information, add maiden names, and to link to family members of existing or new memorials. I'd like to see the information on this site to be as useful as possible for genealogy research.

I've done my share of tromping through cemeteries and taking photos, mostly family or extended family. I have found a lot of memorials added on FAG that came from my additions to Michigan Tombstone project or Ancestry.com - some using my pictures, some not - but none included maiden names. They seem to be quick additions using only the tombstone transcription and not the additional information available in the record. Where I know it, I always include the maiden name.

I've had some issues with contributors using my photos from Michigan Tombstone Project and Ancestry.com. I love to share my photos but if I add it to a site, that's the only place I intend for it to be used. Just like FAG, these sites have a link to me so get my permission first. FAG reminds us EVERY time we add a photo that we must OWN it.

The family lines I research are IRWIN, BALDWIN, BEANS, EVANS, HARLE, HINCHMAN, HULL, JANE, WEBB.

With the exception of my direct ancestors and immediate family memorials, I'm open to transfers. Accuracy of information is more important to me than "ownership."
