|Debi Houser||RE: Belle Tincher|
I'm glad to help out but I can't take credit for taking the photo of Belle's headstone. Tom Barrett and the Owsley County Historical & Genealogical Society (OCHGS) have done great work on photographing headstones in Owsley County as well as some in Breathitt, Clay, Lee, & Jackson Counties. They're the ones who deserve the thanks.

Thank you, Beth Ann! Highland and Clinton Cos. are where I'm hoping to find out something about Emma. She was born around 1860, and I'm praying there's a paper trail!

Hello! I added the marriage info, as you suggested. Are you related to Alvan or Charlotte? My gg-grandmother, Emma May Cloud, was the adopted daughter of Alvan and 2nd wife, Sarah R. Church. I'm hoping to find out who Emma's biological parents were; it may require some time searching in Ohio courthouse archives. Thanks! Susan

I had him under Doan as per obit, rather than Doane, which is what his marker says. Confusing!
|Becky Doan||RE: Frank Doane|
This family has been really confusing, partly due to Doan/Doane, partly due to different cemeteries either in the same vicinity or with similar names, or whatever. You didn't miss it; I had not figured out correctly where to put him! Thanks. Becky
No thank you for the help, many of the cemeteries up here are like that. Very large beautiful stones with many names on them. Which i think is a good thing, but which means i can never get them all online by myself. So thank you for your help, it is very kind of you. :D

thank you for the cemetery info.
I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the new photo,
That gray granite is tough to get any contrast on, made more difficult by the round shape. I've used, water, chalk and plain old dirt in the past to enhance the contrast.
Thank you very much for the photos!
