I have been doing genealogy with my father for as long as I was able to read; I had my first library card at four. I have ancestors who arrived on the first ships, including the Mayflower, both to the United States and to Canada. They came mostly from, England, Scotland and France. I have two very interesting female ancestors named Anne Marbury Hutchinson and Mary Barrett Dyer who may be googled for some very interesting reading. I have people who fought in the Revolution both as Rebels and as Loyalists, the War of 1812,the civil war and just about every war since.
I come from Doctors, Lawyers and even possibly an Indian chief, as well as ministers, teachers,carpenters, scoundrels and farmers; yes lots and lots of farmers!
I have an extensive tree on Ancestry.
I like to share my knowledge because that is what my father taught me.
I live in rural North Central Iowa and am willing to help with research in the counties around Pocahontas county.
I am a goldsmith but am going to be starting classes online to obtain a BA in Business with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship.
