In 2012, I completed a mapping project for Elk Cemetery, McArthur, OH. This included providing GPS coordinates on each identifiable headstone as well taking a picture of every headstone. You can use a lookup feature for the cemetery at http://dbkmediaservices.com/leaflet_mapping/20200105/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3mM4fUForFSo-iAAw2tSDsozVbwXKZQ5jg6MJ10WfMsC1GI7EzLvIPgAE

When you pull up the page addressed by the link, you will see the composite of many drone pictures, and a series of orange circles representing the number of graves in that particular area. You click on a circle and the screen will "zoom" into that general area. Then you will see another series of circles with numbers on those. You can repeat the same process.

If you wish to see the information on a specific grave, enter at least part of the name of the deceased into the search area in the upper right hand corner of the screen. The more information you enter, the higher the chance you will find the specific grave you are looking for. Conversely, if you are looking for a person's grave, but don't have all the information on the person, enter something like the last name. The screen will return with circles representing all of the graves for which this information applies.

Once you find a particular grave in which you are interested, a "bubble" will be presented that contains information on that grave, including - if available, a photo of the headstone. By clicking on the photo link, you may also view a picture of the grave.

I have also entered all of the information (names, pictures, dates and GPS coordinates) from this study onto Find A Grave. (11/19/14)

If you ever find an inconsistency between Find A Grave, and my Elk Cemetery look up page, I would recommend you consider the information on Find A Grave to be accurate, as many more individuals see the Find A Grave information, and they work to make certain that information is accurate.

If you have problems, questions or additional request, please feel free to contact me.

I am happy to transfer memorials per the Find A Grave guidelines if anyone is interested.
