Happiness is setting out on foot over a five-acre cemetery, finding six out of six graves that you had no idea of the locations of and getting them photographed before the sun goes down. :)

Please feel free to use any of the photos I've taken and posted, you don't need to ask permission. It does make me happy to see where they went, though, so dropping me a note here is greatly appreciated! But not a requirement. :)

I really enjoy going out to do photo requests, both the "easy" cemeteries and the ones out in the countryside. I always try to make the photo as nice as possible, which includes brushing off the dead grass, pulling any grass or weeds that have grown over the stone, and I'm very careful about sunlight reflection or brightness that can wash out a stone if you're not careful. I put back trinkets that may have fallen off the stone and I put flags back in the ground that may have gotten blown over by the wind. I have considered taking a weed wacker and hedge clippers with me for the ones that are really overgrown by bushes, hosta and sedums, but I held myself back. I actually enjoy doing a little "detective" work to find people. But I have been known to miss the most obvious stone in the section, lol. I'll find it eventually :)
