Meet Shadow, my companion when I am sitting at the computer working on family history stuff. I am also active on Family Tree DNA and AncestryDNA. Most of my blood lines have been in the what is now the United States since they were young colonies.
Family Tree DNA indicates European roots - England, Wales, and Scotland (87%), Central Europe (10%), and Greece & Balkans (3%).
Ancestry DNA indicates 44% Scotland, 38% England and Northwestern Europe, 7% Germanic Europe, 6% Ireland, and 5% Wales.

I still consider myself a Texan although I have not lived in the state for decades. Some kin were in the Republic when it was formed.

Shadow is American Shorthair. She was rescued from a Wisconsin Barn by a niece.
