My mother's family (Collins, Hooks, Parker) migrated from GA near Albany to NC, mostly Wilson County. I have not been that lucky to trace my dad's family (Powell)... they began for all intents and purposes, in Wilson County. His mother's family (Debnam, Richardson, Morgan, Strickland) seem to be from Johnston, Nash and Wake Counties.

Our family has a cemetery, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, in Wendell, NC.
