I got into FAG (adding and maintaining direct descendent memorials). Love the opportunity to work with others to link our loved ones together. FAG is a wonderful tool for associating family and making breakthroughs in researching those who have already gone on. I have had a great experience with each person I have been in contact with and love the mutual partnership I feel with so many that I do not know, but are bound by a common vision.|
For me it goes without saying that any photos on memorials are my attempt to honor family. I am not looking for credit and wonder about those who do. It seems we should give and/or serve with no strings attached, as we give to God. I may be a novice and missing something but I do this for the posterity of those who have come before, the wider the circulation of this information (accurate and well documented) the better their memories are appropriately carried forward....
Blessings, Duane Warren FAG #47876044

He's all yours.
I agree with your sentiments stated in your profile about your motivations for sharing information in general, and this line in particular, "I am not looking for credit and wonder about those who do." Seriously, who needs credit? People make these memorials way to much about themselves.
On the other hand, not that you asked about this either, I very much would not analogize it to giving freely as we would to God, since I don't believe in God.
I say this not to start a fight, but to show how two people coming from different perspectives can come to the same conclusion. So, not that you do, don't just write-off non-believers because we can all be very reasonable.

Would you like me to transfer the Millikans to you? Their marker was near some others I was responding to requests for, thinking maybe they were also related. I am not connected to them, and would like for them to be maintained by familiar folks.
|Cemetery Walker||James and Ellen Warren|
Thanks for the edit information. Are you related to them?
|Eddie Donlin||Leo Gotfried Broering|
Is he a family members of yours?
|Kathie Christensen||Susan H. "Elizabeth" Smith McConnell|
Susan H. married John McConnell in 1868. She had previously married a Smith. Smith was not her maiden name. No idea what it was. John married Elizabeth Brownfield in 1879. These are two different women. Just fyi.
Thank you for the information on the Murray Family in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery (and for prompting me to try and finish what I started; I will try to have new ~hopefully more legible~ photos taken soon and will try to locate the obituaries to confirm everything). This should not take me too long, so check back often if you are interested. :)

|Rick Valentine||RE: Gillam|
The only clue I have for Jacob Robert Gillam is
he died October 07, 1953 and his funeral was at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel. I was hoping the the chapel would be associated with a cemetery or have funeral records. Lulu May(Swain)Gillam was supposed to be buried at Finley Sunset Hills in
Portland, but they have no record of her. Lulu's father, William Henry Swain and her sister Emily Francis (Swain) Gillam are both at Columbian Pioneer in Portland. Emily Francis Swain married Edward Gillam, brother to Jacob Robert Gillam.

Must have missed this one... Would be interesting if we were related to the same Gillams.
