Thank you for your prompt reply to my query. The information I have been using was the data gathered by other members of the family, and I just assumed (really bad thing to do in genealogy) that the reported info was correct. Since last we spoke, I decided to ask Daddy if he remembered anyone ever discussing which grandmother is buried beside Grandpa Abner. He stated that when he was a child, Grandpa Mac (Christopher James Columbus McDaniel) told him Grandpa Abner was buried between both wives. This was news to me because, for whatever reason, we have not talked about this particular mystery. It does make more sense than having one lost wife. Now, it is time to determine which wife is buried on his right and which on his left. My vote goes to Elizabeth Edna being buried on his right, mostly because of tradition; but at this point, we will probably never know unless I am blessed to uncover a forgotten note somewhere, sometime. Now, to the remaining mysteries surrounding Abner such as what happened to Elizabeth E, born to Abner and Unity in about 1863. Evidence I have uncovered so far suggests she must have died before age 10. Also, this time period suggests there must be other children not yet discovered. This is simply what makes genealogy so fascinating: "The thrill of the hunt!!!"
Thank you again for you kindness. I'm sorry I imposed on your time, but I feel I have a new genealogy friend. Have a great week and "Happy Hunting!!!"!

Thank you for answering so promptly concerning Ella Vaughan's marriage date. She would be most pleased to know of the correction. And, thank you for your excellent work posted on Find A Grave. It has been of immeasurable assistance in my continuing search for ancestral family members.
Now on to my family mystery: I have performed several searches on "Find A Grave" for two women in my McDaniel line. Each was married to Abner McDaniel. Elizabeth Edna Hornsby (A.K.A. Edney), 1805-1847, married 27 Aug 1828, and Unity Freeman, 1827-1884, married 19 May 1847. My sources state that each woman died in Hardeman County, Tennessee.
Either Elizabeth Edna or Unity is missing, and I cannot determine who. Someone is buried beside Abner in Walnut Grove Cemetery at The Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Hardeman County, Tennessee. In my family, I alone believe it is most likely Unity, as she was the last wife.
I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Internet searches using their names and birth dates have yielded some very useful information, but do not uncover their burial sites. Family members old enough to remember who is buried alongside Grandpa Abner are no longer with us.
Have you found either of these women in a cemetery in your ancestral searches? This is a long shot I know, but if you have any information about either or both of these women, it will be very much appreciated.
Happy hunting and have a great week.
