Their stones along with Millie's lady friend, were raised by Bill Scott & I back in 1995. Bill was allowed to move into the chapel and he spent MANY dollars re-doing the building, both inside and out.
I spent many moons researching John and saw to it that their stones were fd and dug up. We had a ceremony, after they were erected, with the church people and the local newspaper folks recorded it.
Bill was, soon thereafter, tossed out (why?) by the church body even after he spent thousands on the kitchen and bathroom.

I was able to take a better photo today. Last trip was a foggy, windy day, today was clearer and photo turned out better

Thanks for your work on this. I do have a death certificate and an announcement indicating that my grandmother was buried there. My dad told me once that the cemetery was relocated or some tombstones were relocated. Any other suggestions for where I can find more information?
Whoops. I forgot to tell you that Samuel Halley died July 30, 1872. I have no birth information. His wife, Miriam, was b. Nov. 17, 1804, so Samuel was likely born around that time.
By the way there is a tombstone photo on her memorial.

Thanks so much for linking Mary Margaret Halley to her parents, Miriam & Samuel, so promptly.
Now all we are missing is a photo of
Samuel's (Memorial #47218626) tombstone at Lexington Cemetery. He's in Plot: Section O, Lot 154, Part: S1/2.
I noticed that "nk", who created his memorial, put in a photo request on Sept. 30th. Is this something you could do? Certainly I would do it if I could, but I live very far away....

Thank you for updating Hampton Halley Lisle's memorial. This is an illustrious family with many high ranking military people. The above's son, Hampton Halley Lisle, Jr., died April 7, 1945 in Florence Italy while serving during WWII. His widow, Laura Frenger, m2 Harold Woods. She died Dec. 16, 1999, but I have no idea where or if she is buried.
Meanwhile their son, (Hampton & Laura) Hampton Halley Lisle III, married Elizabeth Banks and she passed away recently in December, 2012. I have not been able to find out what happened to Hampton Halley Lisle III. Perhaps he is still alive or others can fill in the missing blanks.
This is more than you need to know about the Hampton Halley Lisle's!!
