Bio

I began my genealogy search back in the late 80's when I realized that my mother's parents and their siblings had all passed and no one had captured their stories - which I knew. So I began writing it all down, and began finding their documentation.

This lead me and my family to take a 6 week vacation back to Missouri, and Illinois to connect with living family both on my mother's side and my father's.

I've continued my family history research ever since and now have quite a few families connected where they belong and much documentation for them.

I have a number of brick walls and would appreciate any information that might help me breach these walls.

I am also the administrator for the Hiles Surname Project at Family Tree DNA and would be happy to assist anyone who is interested in submitting their DNA for genealogical testing.

I'm always grateful for corrections and additions.

Thank you so much for your kind sharing.
