Bio

I am a 30 somthin' addict of local history. In my early 20's I began researching my family heritage, and through that research spawned numerous side projects about the Chatham/Moore/Lee County area. I am a member of the Town of Carthage Historical Commission in Moore County, and am the Adjutant/Genealogist for the NC Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp in Lee County. I am also a member of Buffalo Lodge #172 and Sanford Lodge #151 (Part of the the Grand Lodge of North Carolina AF&AM).Currently, I am working to document EVERY Confederate grave in the Lee County area. This information will be used to not only ensure that the graves are marked, but that are properly kept in presentable condition.I am also working to document several (now defunct) Masonic Lodges that used to be in the Lee County area. Of Particular interest to me is a particular lodge that was located in Jonesboro before it was destroyed by a tornado. Of this lodge, I have found that somethin like 80% of the charter members we from the 50th NC Regiment Co. F led by the famous James Oscar Abner Kelly.
