Hey everyone my name is Rachel (Long) Goodwin and I am 32 years old and I live in a small town in West Virginia. I am proud to call myself a navy vet niece. Especially with a proud uncle that I had. I am learning more and more about my heritage and where all of my ancestors came from.

In the 10+ years that I have worked on genealogy I have learned that my Great Grandmother's second husband's family was one of the first settlers of Spencer, West Virginia. And I have learned recently that my 3x great grandmother's family was one of the first permanent settlers of Ripley, West Virginia.

I'm currently learning about my mother and father's side of the family and also my husband's side of his family for Goodwin's and Alvis' and every name in between for all sides.
