My name is Rachel.Born & raised in Topeka, Kansas. As of 06 April 2019, I am 29 years old. Over the last couple of years, I've been trying to start/add to/complete some of my family tree/history. I'm not sure why exactly, but everyone should know where their family came from, right? So far, I've gone as far back as the 1600's, but that's only with 1/4th of my grandparents. The reason being, I'm related to one of President Lincoln's personal secretaries.His name was John George Nicolay. I found that he is my 3rd great uncle.Kind of neat finding someone famous in your family history. I always thought they were just "stories" when my grandmother would tell me we were related to him.Turns out, she was right! Anyway!
