Have always been very interested in history and it led me to researching my own ancestors to discover as much as possible about their lives. When I started my research, the only way to do it was traveling around the country visiting courthouses, cemeteries, etc. The internet has made it so much easier to trace my ancestors. The majority of my ancestors came from Ireland, Scotland, Canada and Maine, Alabama and Georgia. I am researching the following: Strickland, Lannigan, Borland, Downs, Bobo, Bean, Young, Braswell, McDougal, Bubar, Walker, Rankin Tolman, Page, McIntosh, Michaud, York, Wark, Soule, Grover, Toothaker, Williams, Wilson, Mann, Wheeler and Friel.
