I have been researching my family history for abt. 20 years. Find-A-Grave has been an invaluable tool for me. I hope to contribute as much or more to help others as well. My mother's side: Carlton, Evans, Cecil, Yockers, from North Carolina-Indiana-Missouri to Udall, Kansas and beyond and Father's side: Grandpa Smail was an orphan in Pittsburg, Pa., so his parents are still unknown, and Smeltzer, from Pennsylvania.|

Thank you for the transfer of the memorial for my brother Allen Moore. I have updated it to show the cemetery and added his headstone photo. Since your memorial was created first, I have deleted the one I added so there are no longer duplicates.

I wanted to let you know that I was unable to get a picture of Lutie's headstone. Before we got to the cemetery, the city had a gas leak and the sexton is employed by the city, so he was quite busy that day. I am planning to be in Caney again next spring, so I will try again to get a picture. I will place her information in my folder

I will be in Caney next weekend and noticed you had a request. Are you still interested?
What I like to do is to take pictures of the headstone and send them to the person that requested it. That way they can be edited the way you want and then posted.
I also don't want credit for them. I am already there, so taking a few more pictures is not a problem.
Let me know if that will work.
Have a great day,

Carlton, 2015 was not a good year for us. I had emergency surgery in January and my husband had a quad bypass later in the year. As a result I did not do much genealogy and did not get on findagrave at all. So I apologize for not writing sooner. I would be interested in hearing what you have to tell about Nona Bailey. I do not know much about her personally even though she was my great grandmother's sister. I do know she is buried in the city where I now live and that she died in a Wichita hospital as a result of her injuries in the tornado. I believe she is buried beside her son. -Paulette

thanks for adding the beautiful photo of my great grandmother's burial here. much appreciated.
Dear Carlton, I just found the photo of vandalized Cooley monument of my great-great grandfather at Highland Cemetery that you posted on FindAGrave. Your note says it all: "This is the state of this great headstone as of 3-16-2014. It is not the only one in this Cemetery that has been vandalized. What a shame." I very much appreciate you taking the time to post it but sure hated to see it. Linda (#48093613)

HAVE NOT IGNORED YOU, BUT HAD COMPUTER PROBLEMS FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS. CHARLES CRAIG WAS MY GRANDFATHER, BUT NOT MARRIED TO MARY CARLTON. HE MARRIED MY GANDMOTHER CRAIG - LIDA CRAIG. HAVE SOME PICTURES WHICH WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO GET THEM TOGETHER. WILL KEEP IN CONTACT SO THAT CAN BE DONE.
