I am Jane Worley Knapp. I live in Iowa. I am retired and have the time to devote to my interests of which genealogy is now one. I am now using Affinity Publisher, a desktop publishing program. When using this program I can easily load and size pictures and insert hyperlinks to words to link information on findagrave and familysearch which is extremely helpful for publishing PDF documents to circulate to family members digitally. Unfortunately, I did not have that capability when making about 500 pages for one family and 270 for another family. These are divided into family groupings for easier transfer.

I am researching the Worley family which include my gg-grandparents, Edward Ashley Worley 1837-1895 & Christia Ann Thrasher 1841-1884 along with their children: Willis (my g-grandfather), Robert Joel, and Harley.

I'm looking for relatives of my paternal grandmother which include my ggg-grandparents, Samuel Thomas Charlton 1784-1851 who was born in Ireland and his wife, Nancy Jane White ?179_-1839?. They married in 1814 in Shippensburg, PA. Five children were born in Franklin and Bedford Co., PA In 1820 and 1830 they lived just north of McConnellsburg in Ayr Twp., Bedford Co./now Todd Twp., Fulton Co., PA. In 1840 Samuel and five children (John, Nancy Jane, Samuel, Margaret, and Elizabeth) lived in McConnellsburg, PA. They moved to Buchanan Twp., Jefferson Co., Iowa in 1846.

I have worked on the ancestry of the John Jacobs family who immigrated from Sweden to New Sweden in Jefferson County, Iowa. They are my maternal grandmother's ancestors.

This website is a very valuable resource for those seeking more information about their family members from previous generations. I hope that this venue will continue to be open to providing the greatest access as possible for connecting family members of all generations. I appreciate its existence.
