People do not believe me that you do not need to go buy one .
It is online free and you can print it out, unless you want it to be certified for your genealogy. The one online is the same one in Austin. Every deceased person only has one death certificate. The death has to have occurred between 1902 and 1976.
Just go to familysearch website and click on option for DEATH and enter Mattie Hoy. Place : atascosa , Texas.
Year: 1934, and the document comes up.
You will see that place of location is Leming, Texas .

Geraldine, so you remember that it was not Brite Cem? Brite was inventeriod in 2000 the Hoy's were not listed, but in 2001 they were. I guess someone just took more time to look for headstones.
I have search for cemeteries in Leming, but now luck. If you called the county clerks office during working hours and then tell that you have a d/c for him and it does not give the name of the cemetery. And how would you go about it to find out the name of the cemetery.
Let's see if they know or what you find out.

RE: Your grandmother Williams
This is what I found.
Name of deceased: Mattie Williams Hoy
DOB: June 15, 1868
DoD: Nov. 5, 1934
POD: Atascosa Co. Leming, Texas
D/O J.H. Williams and Nancy Maxey.
The informant was J.J. Hoy.
They are in the 1920 Census in Atascosa Co.
H/H: William J. Hoy
Wife: Mattie
Son: Doly age. 10yrs.
I have search all cemeteries in Leming Texas. She is not listed in any of them.
The only thing I can think of is for me to go toe court house and see if it has the owner of the land where she was buried. Well, let me keep on looking. I am going to see if there is a listing for private cemeteries in Leming, Texas.

Geraldine, let me be sure I understand what you are saying, you do know when she was born and when she died right? You just cannot find her burial location right?
There is a death certificate for her, you did know that? she is buried in Leming, Texas cemetery in Atascosa Co. If you know all these I can proceed to find what cemetery she is buried in.
Okay,
Maria
