I was born and raised on a farm near Harris, Sullivan County, Missouri. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 1969 and was employed for over 30 years with United Utilities which became United Telecommunications and then Sprint. I lived in: Kansas City and Jefferson City, Missouri; Warsaw, Indiana; and Mansfield, Ohio. I then moved to Bishop, North Carolina to work for Madison River Communications. I moved from there to Galesburg, Illinois where I spend six years before retiring and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. I became involved in genealogy after I retired in 2005. I research Fertig, Hamilton, Smith, Boney, George, Tumy, Henry, and Glidewell ancestors.
