|James Allen "Jim" Rogers||Schafer family of Durant|
Thank you for the additions to my Schafer family in Durant, Iowa. You are appreciated.
|Dennis Harmsen||Schlapkohl photo|
I was curious to see how my photo for Herman Schlapkohl would show up on his memorial, 87398099, and if you don't like it, let me know and I will remove. Thanks.
|Dennis Harmsen||Funeral marker|
While in the Durant Cemetery, I found a funeral marker for Lucille A. Scheinost in the plot I have listed on her memorial, 129753220
It's only a funeral marker from Bentley Funeral Home, no gravestone. I found her obituary and posted it to her memorial, which reads she was buried in Durant Cemetery. No record of her burial in the record books. Why? This isn't the first time these burial records books have proven to be false or not complete and can not be relied on. I see someone created a memorial for a Robert Baxter and they posted a picture copy of his obit taken from a newspaper, which states he was buried in the Durant Cemetery. Again, he's not listed as being buried in Durant Cemetery. He's totally new to me.
|Dennis Harmsen||Jepsen Photo|
I have posted new gravestone photos for both Wilma and Elmer Jepsen in Durant Cemetery. Wilma's memorial is 93639694. You may copy this photo if needed elsewhere. Thanks.
|Dennis Harmsen||Wendel Photo|
Hello! I have taken and posted a new gravestone photo for Dorothy Wendel, 78450401, in Durant Cemetery. Her husband Andrew Wendel now has his death date on his gravestone. You may want to delete your photo on Dorothy's memorial. You are welcome to copy this photo if needed. Thanks.
|Julie Foreman||#120363856, Heziah Davis|
Is there a possibility that this gentleman's name is Neziah, instead of Heziah? I can't make out the marker to read it.
Neziah Davis was born 10 Oct 1808 in Indiana, died 30 Mar 1863 in Springdale, Iowa. I believe his wife's name was Tamer or Tamar. They had at least 10 children.
Or perhaps the information I have has incorrectly identified him as Neziah. Or quite possibly, I have the wrong fellow.
Thank you for creating the memorial.
Beverly, thanks for the edits. Martha has been transfered to you. Take care!
