This journey all started out with my husband not knowing his family, so I took it upon myself to find out a little more information. The little more has turned into a whole lot! But, I am loving it and enjoy learning about the people and times of long ago. If I have made a memorial for one of your family members, I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you... just put in a request. |
My family are Hays/Hayes, Williams, Clicks, Boyds, Branhams just to name a few.
My husband's are the Shepherds, Row/Rowes, Hollons, Howards.

You left a message as to whether Trina is active or not. I sent an email in March but did not get a response. Do you know what can be done. I want her/him to transfer my great, great, great grandfather and my great, great, grandmother to me. ???

Yes, I have seen the spelling that way too, so that must be right. It's fine that you added the information. I just wondered about them being married in Kentucky.
I have been using Familysearch.org and what I found was his father was David N. Crist, but he was raised by his grandfather David B. Crist. He is included in the household of David B. in the census. But I found a birth certificate that said David N. was his father, which makes more sense because David B. and his wife would have been 51 when he was born.
Do you know anything about the military abbreviations? I know pvt is private, but the rest I am not sure. A friend thought he was in the 148th Aero Squadron. I think AE might have been Airplane Electrician. I saw that somewhere. Anyway what this lead to was that my friend found a book on the WWI American Air Service in ebook form on Google. It actually does list a Garry Crist as a casualty in Chaulnes France. I didn't know he was in anything other than the regular army. That was very cool! I think I may have to read the rest that book!
