Hello all. I LOVE Genealogy. I have been working on my family tree since 1994 (before too many records were on-line). I am always on the hunt for more information, its like reading a book about your own relatives! I have found out that ancestors were really no different than we are today.

I have done my tree, my mother's side of the family is from England, CHAPMAN & WALLER. I was privileged to work with my cousin in Canada on a family history book for this part of the family, pub. in 2005. We met cousins over the pond and visited several times and they have come here to the states also.

SUTOR & HARAS was my father's family and they go back to (Galacia) Poland in the southwest Gorce Mountain range, not much on Poland right now out there.

I have also worked on my husband's family. Haakenson & Hermundstad, all from Norway were his maternal ancestors, many moved here to Minnesota. Currently, I have been doing added research on his father's side of the family Meister & Schuessler which include great families of the Brew! Neukirch and Melms among the ones who started Breweries in Milwaukee, WI. It was interesting to find that Meisters inhabited Green Bay, WI at the very beginning and helped build that town.

GREAT fun with Genealogy! To meet cousins you never knew you had and discover new things about the past!

I have not put down that I would volunteer to take photos in my area, but may do that in the future. Feel free to send me a note however if I can help anyone in the suburban Chicago area. I would like to start adding graves from cemeteries I visit, even if not related.

Happy Hunting!
Sue
