I LOVE ancestry and doing research ... I wish there were more hours in the day for such! I am proud to say I am a WHITEHURST on Dad's side and a HARRELL on Mom's side. Dad's side is German, including PITTROFF and HABERSTUMPF and Mom has some, we believe, Irish and maybe Cherokee Indian. McCLENNEY and BRATTEN / BROUGHTON. Having a really hard time tracing / proving these names / relations with any certainty. I am unable to travel much anymore, even to the Library of VA, even though it is only about 15 miles away. My husband is a PACK and from WVa ... Maddy, Lilly, Wills, Harvey, Wiseman ... etc.
When I'm not doing research, I'm quilting ... If I'm not quilting, I'm researching!
