Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from MICH CON GAS CO a/k/a DTE ENERGY and I live in NorthEast Michigan.
I was the Maple Ridge Township Clerk for six (6) years and kept the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery records at that time. Later on I volunteered to work on the Cemetery Committee regarding cemetery expansion and improvements after more land was purchased.
I find Find-A-Grave more interesting when photos are posted of the deceased person as well as their headstone photos. I am presently doing family research and find family and friend cemetery memorials very interesting; but many have no information at all. That's when things get interesting!
I will help whenever I can to add needed information and photos, etc.

RE: Vicki Janet Christman-Hughes-Grove
You are very welcome. This is the second memorial stone this week that I have taken a photo of that shows their life story. How very interesting. Have a good day (tomorrow). Barb

RE: Jacob Vincent Kieliszewski
Hi, Jeanne, The bottom of the headstone says, left to right:

Mother, Magdalen, died 1927
Father, Jacob, died 1930
Husband, Joseph, died 1950
Wife, Catherine, died 1972

Hope that helps.

RE: Mary Esther Valentine-Fisk
The sexton checked the records and couldn't find Mary under any name.??? He said he's had this problem before. She may be in an unmarked grave or buried with someone else and it wasn't written down correctly in the books??? I would just leave her as is and maybe someone but bump into her along a walk:)

RE: Ethel & Ed Welsh Photos
You look familiar - did you live out this way? Did they own Welsh's Orchard on North Ave?

RE: Photos taken at Grand Lawn Cemetry
I did take the photo of Marguerite J Snover's grave marker on 9/16/2014. Let me know when they get the marker updated and I'll take another photo.

RE: John & Julia Dziesinski
I was my pleasure. I love what I do for Find A Grave. Cemetery records do show that Walter is suppose to be in 15/30. However I don't know if a headstone was ever purchased for him.

John A Szymanski photo -- thank you
Hello Jeanne,

Thank you for posting the photo of John A. Szymanski, my husband's great-grandfather. We didn't have a photo of him and are so happy to see what he looked like. A handsome man!

My husband, Tom, is descended through Nell Wood, John's daughter. I'm sure you must be cousins. There are many more Szymanski descendants that we stay in touch with regularly.

It's so nice to "meet" you. If you have other photos you can post to other Szymanski memorials, we'll be waiting to see them!
