I am retired from MICH CON GAS CO a/k/a DTE ENERGY and I live in NorthEast Michigan. I was the Maple Ridge Township Clerk for six (6) years and kept the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery records at that time. Later on I volunteered to work on the Cemetery Committee regarding cemetery expansion and improvements after more land was purchased. I find Find-A-Grave more interesting when photos are posted of the deceased person as well as their headstone photos. I am presently doing family research and find family and friend cemetery memorials very interesting; but many have no information at all. That's when things get interesting! I will help whenever I can to add needed information and photos, etc.
RE: Dolores Donjkowski I did it in spite of knowing it was you who requested it LOL. I added the memorial for Otto and also came across a Donakowski nearby and added a memorial also. Not sure how they might be related, or if it is just a coincidence.
RE: Walter N Chaney Grave Stone I really do enjoying going to the cemeteries and taking photos of the gravestones. You are welcome for his photo. Also Gene Chaney was right next to him and I took a photo of his stone too. Have a great day. Barb
RE: Stanley J & Balbina Gogolek Dziesinski do you have the sextons records for Holy Cross by Lorrie LaCross available for download at the library? They come in handy for finding lot numbers and have a map. Lorrrie also has a book for Evergreen available for purchase at the library.
I did an Ernest Frantz and Helen Schwaube in Evergreen.
RE: Stanley J & Balbina Gogolek Dziesinski Louis Dziesinski and Joseph Gogolek were on the back side. Surprised you have not been taking the photos yourself. No digital camera? The snow is slowly shrinking. Cannot wait to get back to taking photos.
RE: GARNET CHANEY PHOTO Thank you for the feedback on the photos... I was hoping to give more than needed and let you decide what to keep. I thought you could delete pictures on memorials that you manage. Guess I am still learning. Mike
GARNET CHANEY PHOTO Thank you so much---you may remove one grave marker photo--it's your choice---they are both good shots. Thanks Again. Added by Jeanne Frantz-Szymanski on Feb 21, 2016 10:56 PM
RE: Photos taken at Grand Lawn Cemetry I am very happy to be of service. The weather here in Michigan has been very gentle this winter so I will try and get to the cemetery in the next few days and take a new pic.
