Bio

I have been researching my paternal ancestors for a minimum of 35 years and as such am 2nd generation US born for both grandfathers (grandmothers are US born).. One from "Upper" Canada and the other from NE England. I enjoy being a cemetery walker and helping others with their research.
When I can, I go to the local public cemeteries with a list of the photo requests from here take a pic, I just got a new phone with better camera and GPS, write down what I see engraved on the stone itself so that if the picture isn't that clear, I have the information and will transcribe it to the page.
I am also a member of billiongraves.com and transcribe tombstones as well as match them to people listed in familysearch.org.

I hate having to post this, BUT:

If you want to send me corrections/additions for the memorials I manage, PLEASE use the Edit Tab on the memorial page. I won't make changes from messages left here.

I put a lot of work into my memorials - I don't just post the minimum FAG requires. Don't tell me that you'll send me your notes on a family and I can update my memorials from them. Send the SACs using the Edit Tab on the individual memorials, if you want me to make changes.

I will not post an obituary in its entirety, ever. It's a violation of copyright law, and also risks listing living persons.

And I will NOT link a memorial to an "Unknown Burial" memorial. Come back when you know where s/he is buried.
(Thank you Mary S. for granting permission to copy & paste the above portion from your bio to here)
