Research tip for Indiana: If an obit says the person died at a address, doesn't mean that is the county the person died at. In Indiana a lot of addresses are located in different counties. For example, Gosort, IN address can be in Monroe County. Poland, IN address can be in Owen County, the address now for Cunot, Indiana is Cloverdale ( a Putnam County address), but a lot of Cunot people live in Owen County, so on and so on in Indiana. If you are looking for a birth or death record the person may actually have lived in another county.

Re: Harold Bailey Cox & Halene Cox
Dear Rhonda, I just wanted to write to thank you for creating pages for both Harold "Hal" Bailey Cox and his wife, Halene (Wilson) Cox. Dr. Hal was my great-uncle on my mother's side of the family.
Mother always knew there was a family tragedy involved, and did know some of the facts, but much was never revealed to her. Years ago, family tragedies were often just not talked about. Only about a year ago, I discovered newspaper articles online that told the story. Dr. Hal died at home, of an apparent heart attack, in their garage. About 8 months later, their 14-year-old daughter, Nedra, shot Halene and then turned the gun on herself, committing suicide. Halene survived, but never recovered and died about 8 or 9 months later. I knew where Nedra was buried (Crown Point Cemetery) but did not know where Hal and Halene were interred ----- Thanks to you, now I know!.. This will be nice to be able to tell Hal's only remaining child from his first marriage, who is very elderly now, and was never told where her father was buried. Thanks, so much! Sincerely, Pam Robinson

W Vernon Steele

Vernon Steele was my great grandpa. He was married to Helen Louise Holler (whom he is buried with) on March 30 1926. They had 3 children together, Cameron Coyle Steele (1927 1996), Gordon Keith Steele (1928 1998), and Reba Rea Steele (my grandmother, still living). Unfortunately I do not have burial information for them but thought it needed to be stated for the record here. Helen had a hard life and I don't want to see her robbed of association from the man she loved dearly, however cruel he was to her, on this entry.

Wayne Evans
Wayne and Geneva have been friends for over 40 yrs. She has been like a sister to me. I put Wayne's info on a memorialo, not thinking anyone would also do this so soon after his pasing. Geneva called me Sunday after he had passed. We are close as sisters and would you mind please removing the memorial you added? I found another one that was put on by a fellow Find A Grave friend and I am asking her to also remove the one she put. I know Geneva would want me to have his, and eventually hers. Thanks. Hope I haven't insulted you, but she and Wayne are very close friends.
