Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a genealogy geek too! No surprise there! I love helping others and never mind transferring management of an acct or editing info. If I own an acct or even manage one don't be afraid to ask if you want it. Sometimes I suggest a date addition or something after taking the photo and people will send acct to me to edit even though I am of no relation, so I am always happy to send to a family member to manage.***I have recently taken management of a few inactive acct creators accts in order to make edits and links as I photo survey entire cemeteries. I am happy to edit info or transfer to family members. I have not accepted all their accts just select cemeteries as I photo them.Feel free to visit my dad's page Find A Grave Memorial# 43914016 David Scott as he is the reason I got involved with FAG to start with. Clifton E Camp has a duplicate created by dhb Contributor #47473705. There is a real mess with this one. Yours has a stone marker with his wife on it. But no death date for Clifton. It is connected to his wife's memorial only. The duplicate is not connected to his wife but parents and brother, with no stone marker. The stone marker indicated he is not dead but Ancestry says he is. His death date is Sept 14, 2013. It appears they failed to put it on the marker. I think you need to get with dhb to see what the easy way to handle the changes and delete one. Blessings Marjorie.

RE: Mamie Edwards
Maria, Mamie's mother was Josephine Hamm, Birth 5 October 1870 in Carroll, Georgia to Briley and Sarah Hanson Hamm. Josie married James Lester Thomas (my mil's grandfather) and when he didn't return home she thought he was dead, and she then married John Owings (Mamie's father), but James Thomas was not dead and he returned but when he saw she had remarried he rode off on a white horse without saying a word. Josie fell ill after that and with her marriage to Owings null and void he deserted her and Mamie, and Josie died. No one can find her grave, they really don't know if she was buried as a Hamm or a Thomas and they aren't sure of the exact date, but it is believed she died around 1898. Her three children were living with her Aunt Martha Ward in Anniston, Alabama in the 1890 Census. My mil just celebrated her 80th birthday and she remembers her sister saying Josie's grave was in a small cemetery around Anniston/Cullman County, but that is all I know. If you should find her grave my mil will be planning a road trip!

Mamie Edwards
Thank you so much for the photo of Mamie Edwards Headstone, she was lost to her family but now is found. If I could find Mamie's mother, Josie Thomas, her 81 year old granddaughter would be very happy!

Thanks so much for taking Charles' headstone photo. He was an American hero, worthy of being remembered.

Hi Maria,

I got this email from findagrave from you:

"We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for Alphus Harris.

The general problem they reported is:
Other problem

They also reported, specifically:
This is a duplicate acct and notice was sent today, by me, to please delete and use original acct.
Record added: Apr 22, 2011
Find A Grave Memorial# 68762092"

Just wanted to say that I don't have a request for a photo of a Alphus HARRIS in my request at Morton Cemetery, Etowah Co, AL. I do have a request for Robert and Evie PETTIT SMITH there though. I don't even have a Alphus HARRIS in my database so something is confused and not sure who really requested the Alphus HARRIS. I thought maybe I hit the wrong button but since it is not on my list of requests, I don't believe I even did that. Hope you can find the person you wanted to respond to on this one.

Sorry about that,

RE: Grace Allen baby at Mt Vernon
I can't believe you have been out in this heat taking cemetery pictures. Thanks so much for all that you do to help others. Be careful out there.
