Bio and Links
Bio Photo I discovered Find A Grave while researching my family background on It has been a valuable resource and I hope to contribute more in the coming years. At this point, I am just trying to gather my family members together so I can link and update their memorials and leave something of value for subsequent generations. In October of 2012, my brother and I took a trip and visited 14 cemeteries in 4 different states, confirming my family history and the additional information I found on Ancestry and other sources. It is such an awesome experience to stand at the grave of a great grandparent or other family member, knowing your family all stood in that same spot at one time.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.......a time to be born, and a time to die".......Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

Thank you so much! The info you sent me helped a lot! I was so excited seeing all the info you found! I figured out the other kids & was stumped as who Martha (Mattie) and Lily was I kept seeing on the census' the free Ancestry app pulled up for me. I guess I need the paying version to find more info. I'm going to add their maiden names & hope to find more so I can add it to my tree. Have a great day!

You're welcome. Amanda Barnes-Baker was married to my great-great grandpa James "Jim" Baker. I see she passed away in 1906 & he lived until 1938. Not sure if he remarried but I know they at least had one child Adolphus Baker. I noticed I didn't have them all linked so I got that fixed to show relation. Do you know of any more children they had?

Thank you so much for sending me an "Edit" for Amanda "Wit" Barnes Baker. I'm now also able add that info to my tree. Thanks again!

Sarah Childress Transfer
Sarah is also my husband's 3rd great grandmother, therefore I do not wish to transfer her. If you have info you would like for me to add, I will be more than glad to do so. I had planned on adding additional information but then my mom was diagnosed with cancer and that took up all of my time. I still plan to try to get it done however.
We could probably share information if you are interested. I found your line in my tree all the way to where your mom married Charlie Little and had you, I was missing that part.
If you are interested in sharing info my email is, I hope to hear from you.

Thank you so much for the pic of her tombstone. I also enjoyed the history of the birth of Martha Ann and her subsequent life.
