Diane Goode Benedict is a local historian and author. She has been researching the individual interments in the Lyons Cemetery since 1999 with Frances Brodie Brackett (1927-2008) of the Lyons Cemetery Association, creating a database of obituaries, census records, funeral home records, and family information.

Diane has donated her burial lists for Lyons, Hygiene, Highway 7, Weisner, and other smaller burial sites to various research, historic and archival libraries.

Diane has written books on Lyons, Hygiene, Altona, and Pella in Boulder County, Colorado, as well as, publishing several family histories, as well as writing a history column for the Longmont Weekly.
