I was born and grew up in Ely, Nevada and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1965. My husband and I have 4 children and 12 grandchildren living in CA, NV, and UT. My mother, still living at 96, got me interested in family history when I was a young adult, but I never really had time for it until I retired several years ago. Now I am trying to make up for lost time by volunteering at the Las Vegas FamilySearch Library. I teach some classes there and try to help others find their family information. Since my mother has done so much work on our direct line, my focus is finding and documenting the sources to prove it. My ancestors are from England, Denmark, Scotland and colonial United States. My mother and I are members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
