I lived in California with my husband and three children. I am now moving to Utah. I enjoy learning about my ancestors. I grew up a block away from the Salt Lake City Cemetery where my sisters and many of my ancestors were buried. I was fascinated by it and enjoy walking through it and exploring it. Cemeteries are definitely historical landmarks that connect us with those who have passed on.
I signed up to be a photo volunteer but found locating the graves in the cemetery in my small town in California to be difficult and plot locations confusing. I decided the best way to fulfill the requests was to start photographing the whole cemetery. I was able to get about a quarter of it done before making a move to Utah. Once settled in I hope to begin taking grave photos again.
If I have created a memorial for your loved one I'd love for you to take it over. Please contact me through the appropriate ways and I'll turn it over to you (unless, of course, it is my family member too).
If I do turn a memorial over to you all I ask is that you maintain it with respect remembering that it isn't just important to you but to others who have attachments to it also. If you are no longer able to take care of it please turn it over to another family member of the person memorialized or someone else who will maintain it with respect.
When I post pictures of the graves I am doing it for their family members and close friends so please feel free to download them for personal and family use.
RE: George Dumbolt Soper & Delilah Catherine Knight Soper Appreciate you making the corrections, and yes Delilah Catherine Knight was a fourth cousin, would appreciate a transfer to me Find A Grave#46842549. Question, you wouldn't happen to be related to Lynn King, he live in the Los Bano's area in the 80's, was a good friend that I lost track of. Bill Knight
