My name is Heather (Lindquist) Gerquest, and my husband is Christian. I have been researching my family tree for a while now and have found the LDS Church Family Research Center to be extremely helpful! In Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, my mother's family history has been fairly easy to locate. However, my father's side kind of gets lost once they leave the New York and Massachusetts area and overseas to Scotland (NORRIE & PHILIP) and Sweden (LINDQVIST). His maternal side has some family members that I've found in Scotland (Aberdeeneshire south of the city). His paternal side leaves NY state and disappears in Sweden somewhere. The other half stays in NY (Mid) and surrounding areas for a long time. Some of the old names there are WELLSEY or WILTSIE, ANSON & DAWSON, I don't know where they sailed from or anything. My husband and I now reside in Camden, Maine.

The surnames I am linked to in this area of Maine(and of wider Knox, Waldo & Lincoln Counties) are BERRY (William Berry offspring and another separate Berry family), RICHARDS (William Berry descendent), WALTZ, DEMMONS, THOMAS, MCINTIRE, WALLACE, LINNELL (MA), GRANT. (Washington County, Maine). We spend a lot of time in Waldoboro area (Lincoln Co.)researching cemetery information and family tree information for the following families: CREAMER, WALTZ, CUNNINGHAM, MILLER, CUSHMAN, GENTHNER, OVERLOCK, KEEN and related families. Another area of interest is around Phippsburg, surnames WALLACE, MCINTIRE, BLETHEN, WALLIS. Washington County interests are DEMMONS, NICKERSON & GRANT. We travel to assorted cemeteries around the state. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and we are willing to assist as well!
