Bio

Over the years I have endeavored to do my own family genealogy, and sadly have found the information missing or incomplete. Find a Grave has helped me many times. I wanted a way to help pay my debt of thanks forward to the many volunteers.

One day while walking in a cemetery, I began to wonder about a lot of the older graves, if they had a marker or a photo of their tombstone listed on Find a Grave for their future generations to find and treasure. I have recently started working on a lot of the older grave yards and stones trying to get a readable photo for their families. Sadly a lot of older graves are beyond reading, or in very poor shape. Also, a lot of the older cemeteries are missing a lot of headstones. I will keep trying when the weather permits to locate and get some sort of photo for many older graves.

Special thanks to the many volunteers, my husband and my friends Karen and Mary who once in awhile go with me to help me find and read the stones. Extra special thanks to Mary who has helped me with her cemetery record books, and helping me get started on this new adventure.

One last note: ****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
