I very much appreciate the members of Find-a-Grave for their time & effort in searching out & posting so much information to help all of us in finding our families.
I especially appreciate the generous transfers to my management of memorials created by others, and will almost always be happy to transfer a memorial to anyone more closely related than I, esp. direct descendants, or to make additions or corrections. If I have created a memorial that you do not want made public, please let me know.
So far, nearly all of the photos accompanying my memorials have been generously transferred to me, and you would need to contact the original owner for permission to copy. In most cases I will gladly share photos I have originally posted; just ask.
I have been researching my own and family members' genealogies for several years. Some surnames of interest: Andrews; Alonzo (Italy to America); Bedwell; Bettis; Beseau/Bezeau/Bezzo/Bezo (France to Canada to U.S.); Brisco; Carter; Carver; Goings; Goss; Hill; Holmes; Huckabee; Ives; Julian; Mann; McConaughey; Moore; Owens; Parks; Paschall; Robbins; Shores; Smith; Stringfellow; VanLandingham; Watson; Webb; Angelbeck/Goehner/Kurtz/Kurz/Lechliter/Oberdiek (all Germany/Austria to America).
RE: Peter A. Ives memorial 148790673 Hi Yvonne - glad you have found your relative. I am going to take down the memorial I made in 2015. The other memorial, dated 2009, should be the one to stay. I have had unusual experiences w/the Cotton Plant cemetery whereby I make a memorial (carefully checking to make sure name isn't already there) and placing my photo. Then, after a period of time a same-name turns up. So, I don't know what that denotes but no use arguing over it. You will need to communicate with the creator of that 'first' memorial to get transfer and any other items done. Thanks, Sandi
