Bio

In 1982, an acquaintance suggested that I go to the Archives in Jackson if I was interested in finding my ancestral history. I was and I did! It became an obsession for the next 15 or so years. I searched for my wife's roots as well as mine. I wasn't looking for anyone famous way back in time, just who we might be kin to from record keeping from about 1790 forward, America!

Her primary families are Ashley, Bryant, Burns, Craft, Easterling,Eubanks, Gentry, Harvey, Hopkins, Mangum, Mayfield, Pridgen, and Sullivan. All lived in Smith and Simpson Counties in Mississippi at some time.

My primary families are Carpenter, Carter, Cook, Divine, Downs, Gant, Holly, Kesler, Kirk, Leonard, Littleton, Maxwell, Miller, Seals, Slaughter, Welch, and White. Most of them passed through Attala and Carroll Counties in Mississippi at some time.
