I was born and raised in Moosic, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. My mom was from Moosic and my dad was from Scranton. I have often wondered about my roots and heritage and as a result have taken on a genealogy project for both sides of my family. I have been doing genealogy research on my family since November, 2011. I started late in the game yet I find this both challenging and rewarding. The challenging has been trying to interpret census data and the name / spelling changes of surnames. The rewarding has been that I have found an aunt that I never knew I had plus making contact with long lost First Cousins. The family names I am researching are Condefer / Kandefer / Kluga and Pirics / Peirge / Pierge / Perrige / Chalachan.
